Jared Weintraub is the next generation of brilliant fine art outdoor photographers. His work is representative of his love for the earth's elements, natural formations, and his passion for surfing, backcountry camping, and storm chasing.

His pieces encompass ocean, alpine, and astrologically-infused star-filled skies, and his captures are punctuated by his unique lighting techniques, coupled with his understated style of post-production editing.

At age 22, Jared's work has received numerous awards and recognitions. He has had showings in multiple galleries, and his work is featured in private collections worldwide. His stunning photograph "Yosemite Grandeur" just clinched 3rd place in the 10th annual edition of AAA's WestWays international photo contest. Jared's winning image will be shown through March 10 at the Museum of Photographic Arts at the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park. Jared was also the first featured artist in the new Porsche USA showroom in San Diego's Fashion Valley Mall where he just concluded a year-long display.

 

When he is not monitoring incoming ocean swells, chasing light and fog, or navigating deep rutted fire roads to find dark starry skies. Jared can be found surfing at his favorite beach break in Carlsbad CA, or skiing in the Sierra Nevadas.

Jared is majoring in Business at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and spends his summers in Southern California. Committed to giving back to the community, Jared donates a portion of all proceeds to his favorite charity, ReSurf.org.
